What is PreKanga?

PreKanga is an hour-long group workout class designed specifically for pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy, if you have clearance from your doctor). Instructors are trained in issues specific to pregnant women and only choose exercises that are gentle and safe.

PreKanga includes…

  • Warm up and down
  • Stretching
  • Light cardio
  • Strength training
  • Pelvic floor preparation
  • Myofascial release techniques
  • & more!

The class starts with stretching and warm ups on yoga mats (with foam rollers and balls to massage out knots), then moves into a few dance tracks to get your arms and legs really pumping, before finishing off with more stretching and some pelvic floor work.

If you’ve done Kangatraining before with your previous babies (where you exercise with bub in a carrier), you’ll find a lot of similarities between the two. Lots of gentle warm up/down on mats and fun workouts to music that makes you want to move!

Prenatal Exercise Tailored to Your Needs

Although PreKanga is a group workout class, your instructor will adjust parts of the program for you according to your fitness level and stage of pregnancy. This is what makes it safe and comfortable, and really helps to prepare you and your baby for a healthy birth.

Socialise with Other Expectant Mums

PreKanga is a fantastic way to socialise and meet other likeminded mums (the conversations are always the best part!). You can experience pre-natal exercise together, and then can continue postnatally with Kangatraining once your babies are born!

Prices:

INTRODUCTORY OFFER- FIRST 3 CLASSES FOR $30 (New clients only)

$10 for your first class 

$18 for a casual class 

$80 for a five class pass ($16/class) - valid for 3 months 

$140 for a ten class pass ($14/class) - valid for 6 months 

$200 for a twenty class pass ($10/class) - valid for 6 months

Important Info:
  • Class passes are valid for Kangatraining too, so once you and baby are ready, you can keep using your pass on postnatal exercise.
  • Please note that PreKanga is not suitable for older siblings (enjoy this time to yourself, mama!).
  • Bookings are essential for first class. You will be emailed a health questionnaire to fill out and return prior to class (spares available at class if unable to return) and all women MUST obtain a medical clearance from their care provider before commencing any exercise program including PreKanga.
  • As with all our Kanga classes, after your first class, no further bookings are required. Come and go as you please, paying casually, or buy a pack of classes for extra value!
